It is with great pride and excitement that we are announcing the acquisition of Chef’s Paradise by Quebec based Doyon Després. Chef’s Paradise is recognized for its unparalleled quality in the distribution of kitchen equipment and accessories for restaurants, hotels, institutions, and retail, throughout the National Capital Region, where it was founded in 1921.

With this strategic acquisition, Doyon Després now extends its expertise to Ontario, and increases their brick and mortar location to 9 showrooms. This transaction not only helps us consolidate our purchasing power and offering, but also establishes a strong foothold in Ontario, an essential step in our ongoing commitment to our customers across the country.

Doyon Després and Chef’s Paradise have always been driven by a common passion: to offer an unrivaled customer experience for both professional chefs’ and passionate amateur cooks by offering the very best kitchen equipment and gourmet tools and accessories.

These two family-owned and operated entities have joined forces to offer an even broader range of products, experience and service to exceed customer expectations. It is with joy and excitement that together we embark on this great adventure.

A little bit about Doyon Després

Doyon Després was born in 2011 after two companies operating in the same industry and region of Quebec merged. Their similar philosophies and objectives formed the centre of this union, and quickly resulted in a strong store and brand presence in the province. The first merger in 2011 united G. Doyon et Fils Inc. and Félisol in the South Shore of Montreal where they were rebranded as Doyon Cuisine.

In 2017, Doyon Cuisine and Després Laporte, who had four locations across Quebec, joined forces to form a single entity known today as Doyon Després.

The company has since become the leader of kitchen equipment and gourmet smallwares throughout the province of Quebec. The vast territory which it serves extends along the St. Lawrence River to the south of the province, and now into Ontario.

Our New Distribution Arm

In the spring of 2020, Doyon Després unveiled a new modern central distribution center located in Longueuil, QC. This state-of-the-art facility serves as the central warehousing and distribution center for over 10,000 unique products which serves multiple industries including; foodservice hospitality, institutional, grocery, conference and event spaces, and traditional retail.
