Etna Wine Festival

Get your passport ready as we explore flavours of the world through some of the most interesting food cultures and festivals. From Japan all the way to Kentucky, we will be celebrating the global language of food and drink with guest hosts who are experts in their respective crafts.
Destination —> CTA Etna, Sicily. Etna is an Italian wine DOC which covers the slopes of Mount Etna, the 3330 meter (10,920ft) active volcano that dominates the Italian island of Sicily.
It was the very first DOC on the island, created in August 1968 and followed nine months later by that of Sicily’s most famous wine, Marsala. The fertile volcanic soils of this mountain range support extensive agriculture, with vineyards spread across the lower slopes of the mountain.
Every year, wine enthusiasts from around the globe flock to the island to celebrate its rich food history and prolific wine culture at the Etna Wine Festival, known simply as ViniMiIo.
For this special event, we are bringing a taste of Sicily to you via local talents, Chef Adam Vettorel and Chris Schlesak, co-owners of the celebrated restaurants North & Navy and Cantina Gia.
Chef Adam will be preparing a traditional Sicilian inspired three-course menu, paired with top wines from the Etna mountains, as selected by wine director Chris Schlesak.
