Peruvian Independence Day

Get your passport ready as we explore flavours of the world through some of the most interesting food cultures and festivals. From Japan all the way to Kentucky, we will be celebrating the global language of food and drink with guest hosts who are experts in their respective crafts.

Bordered by three distinct growing regions: the Andean highlands, the Pacific coast, and the Amazon basin, each region offers different but influential indigenous culinary meats, fruits, and vegetables which provide the backbone of diversity within Peruvian Cuisine, combined with Spanish, Asian, European and Incan culinary traditions.
Join us for an evening celebrating Fiestas Pastrias (Peruvian Independence Day) with Peruvian native, chef Lizardo Becerra. A culinary ambassador for Peru in his own right, chef Becerra was transplanted from one of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants, Central, in Lima, Peru (listed #2 when he left) to come to Canada as the executive chef for the Embassy of Peru.
Traditional Pisco cocktails will accompany a three course menu celebrating the quality and variety of Peruvian gastronomy.
