Battata Harra (Spicy Potatoes)

Ingrédients
- 1.5- pound bag of little gem potatoes washed and halved (P)
- 4 cloves garlic
- Salt
- Olive Oil
- ¼ cup cilantro
- ½ tsp. ground cayenne
- 2 Thai “birds’ eye” chilies small 1-2-inch skinny red chilies (finely sliced discs) (P)
- 1 lemon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450F
- Smash the garlic with the olive oil and salt to make a paste
- Toss the potatoes with the paste made above
- Place the potatoes on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and place in the oven on the middle rack for 15-22 minutes
- Once out of the oven, sprinkle with the zest of 1 lemon, chopped cilantro and the chopped Thai chilies
Chef's Tips
If Thai birds eye chilies are too spicy for you, you can substitute them for Anaheim chilies or even jalapenos
